1. The Service

1099-B Converter provides an online tool that converts 1099-B brokerage tax form PDFs into structured CSV, TXF, and Excel files using AI-powered data extraction. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice.

2. No Account Required

1099-B Converter does not require you to create an account. The free tier is available to anyone and is limited to 3 conversions per month, tracked by session.

3. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The legality of all documents you upload to 1099-B Converter
• Ensuring you have the right to upload and convert the 1099-B forms you submit
• Verifying the accuracy of extracted data before using it for any purpose, including tax filing
• Maintaining your own copies of important documents — 1099-B Converter does not serve as document storage

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload documents you do not have legal authorization to access
• Use the service to process fraudulent or forged documents
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Upload malicious files or content
• Use automated tools to abuse the free tier or bypass usage limits
• Resell or redistribute the service without permission

5. Accuracy Disclaimer

1099-B Converter uses AI to extract transaction data from 1099-B forms. While we strive for high accuracy, AI extraction is not perfect. You should always review the extracted data against your original 1099-B before downloading and using it.

1099-B Converter is NOT a substitute for professional tax preparation, accounting, or financial advice. The extracted data is provided for convenience and should be verified against original documents before use in any official capacity (tax filing, audit response, legal proceedings, etc.).

6. Payments & Billing

Free Tier: All users receive 3 free conversions per month with CSV download included. No account or payment required.

Pay-As-You-Go: TXF and Excel downloads are available for $4.99 per conversion, processed through Stripe Checkout.

Pro Plan: Unlimited conversions available at $14.99/month (when available).

Refunds: Due to the instant-delivery nature of digital file conversions, we generally do not offer refunds. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from receiving your file, contact us and we will resolve it.

7. Intellectual Property

The 1099-B Converter service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by SIGNN Applications LLC. The data extracted from your 1099-B forms belongs to you.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any downtime, whether scheduled or unscheduled.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1099-B Converter and SIGNN Applications LLC, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Any damages arising from inaccurate data extraction
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the service
• Any tax penalties, interest, or additional taxes resulting from incorrect data

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Data extraction will be 100% accurate
• The generated TXF, CSV, or Excel files will be compatible with all tax software versions
• The service will meet your specific requirements

11. Termination

We may suspend or restrict your access if you violate these terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the service may harm 1099-B Converter or other users.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law in the courts of Orange County, Florida.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
